The Flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has attributed the country's underdevelopment to both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Akpaloo's statement comes in response to his claim that both parties have distributed substantial sums of money during the ongoing Assin North by-election in the Central Region.

He contends that the amount of money spent by the NPP and NDC in their quest for political power in Assin North could have been used to establish around 30 factories in the constituency.

According to Akpaloo, both the NPP and NDC distributed bags of cement and roofing sheets to constituents in an attempt to secure their votes.

He emphasized that significant amounts of money and other items were given to certain constituents, and there have been reports of conflicts among constituents claiming to have been cheated during the distribution of funds.

In summary, Akpaloo alleges that the NPP and NDC have spent considerable sums of money in Assin North, which he believes indicates a significant issue with the electoral process.
