During the kyzz fm morning show on June 26, 2023, Nana Kwesi Mensah, a reporter from Inchaban, provided an account of a tragic incident at Daboase in which five students from Daboase Secondary School drowned in the Prah River.

Last week, amidst heavy rains, the students went to bathe in the river. Unfortunately, five of them drowned, resulting in three reported deaths and two others currently receiving critical treatment at the hospital.

The authorities have taken two bodies to the mortuary, and the police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Regrettably, one body remains missing in the river. In response, the town leaders have determined that certain rituals must be performed at the riverbank to aid in the recovery of the unrecovered body.
